Who and what is Eklektik Photography?

Welcome, and let me casually introduce myself. Feel free to grab a cup of coffee and join me; I'm 29, a mum, married and have been dabling in digital mixed media ever since early high school.

I was the nerd in the computer room at lunch time practising how to touch type;advanced in Information Technology, I loved being the computer teacher's best bud and was involved in creating small promotional films for my high school, Yeoval Central School in approxiametly Year 8 or 9. The buzz of capturing, editing and displaying has always been a thrill for me. Fast forward over the years, a Cert IV in Digital Media, a Bachelor in Graphic Design, I fell into a local job for a community based paper in Orange NSW, then called the PhotoNews, and delved into social photography. Meeting people, celebrating other's occasions and knowing that I was able to give them memories to hold on and share forever more developed my passion for photography. Having experienced the loss of photographic memories from my own family history has encourage me to offer these services.

Having children of my own, two daughters, I have been spell bound by the magic of newborns and family relationships and now focus my photography on creating magic moments for other families. I didn't get all the newborn photos of my own daughters that I wanted and realish the opportunity to provide those images in a comforting and relaxed environement, understanding that the early days of parent hood can be overwhelming.

Eclectic; as the word is traditionally spelt, means to derive ideas, style, or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources. Eklektik- Photography & Design was formally created two years ago, spelt to reflect my own name (Kiki) and to embrace my wide love of varying photographic styles. I have my people who influence what I love to do, and what I aspire to do, as well as the my clients who love to add their own personal flare. Eklektik is my brand, that refuses to be bound by traditional ideas and notions, but rather will gladly dabble in all fields at some point, and continue to grow and expand organically over the years. As 2016 has flourished, I have decided to slightly modify my brand from Eklektik- Photography & Design to simply Eklektik Photography. Initially hoping to offer graphic services, I am now choosing to reign in some endeavours and strengthen the photographic nature of my movements, especially newborns, as I will unashmadely admit, they are my passion! Never fear, weddings, family shoots, cake smash and more will still be offered.
