Why Weddings cost so much?...

You may have had the thought before- mention the word wedding to any industry, and suddenly the price goes up. And you know what, it's true. I'm more than happy to admit that Weddings are priced as the highest session I offer- why? Because you only get one shot at a wedding. Let me explain....
The preparation and stress around a wedding doesn't just occur for a bride- it occurs for every other professional that is involved in supplying or organising a part of the big day. Everyone involved has the stress upon their shoulders that we get one shot at pulling this off as perfect as can be- no body wants an unhappy client, ESPECIALLY an unhappy bride or groom. Does this mean that as professionals we are allowed to be sloppy or lax on an occasion that isn't a wedding? No- but the margin of error and the potential for rectifying something that goes wrong is improved. It is a lot easier to offer a free re-do session of a family portrait sitting, whereas shooting a wedding again (particularly a 12hr wedding) is simply not possibly. No opportunity to improve, redo or 'try again'. So, as the client, you are paying for the double and triple checking we will conduct to ensure that your wedding day goes as smoothly as possible, for the extra time and detail that will be spent on your images etc... As a professional, as a wife and a mum, I understand that you want your wedding to be as perfect as possible, with hiccups, and as enjoyable as possible! For such a big event, it is important to be able to trust the professionals you hire, so you can put your feet up and party. I welcome all clients, especially wedding clients, with the opportunity to visit my studio to discuss ideas and options before you commit and book to a session. I believe in feeling comfortable with your wedding photographer, so you feel that your money is being well spent. Best wishes, ~Kiki
