Pin it baby!

Every artist takes inspiration from another artist- very few ideas are original in this day and age, simply because someone, somewhere has tried it before. This doesn't mean that we can't strive to be original, it simply means that can takes pieces of this, and pieces of that, to blend and create our own outcome, and be proud that we in turn may inspire someone else. This, is why I love Pinterest! If you can hold your heart in your hands, and don't let it run away too far, (because, oh my, the many, many ideas and thoughts it provokes!) it is an amazing tool. Being such a visual person, I can't always put into words what idea I'm trying to create or envisage.... using Pinterest to sift through images via keywords has really helped expand upon ideas, trigger new ideas, and collate some of my ideas. Click on one image, and it can lead you down a little path you didn't consider travelling. No- this post in not endorsed, lol! It is simply a tool that I love to use, and encourage my clients to use too. You can create secret boards on there- so if you would like to collect image inspiration for your wedding, a surprise baby announcement or engagement, then you can gather all that information without sharing it with the world, and then share it with your photographer only- how cool is that? Likewise, as with most social media streams, you can Follow other people and they can Follow you. It is also a wonderful resource for finding sewing patterns, craft tutorials and more.... oh the hours you can whittle away!
