Never stop learning

I adore my job- I make it well known as I feel so lucky to handle new babies and photograph them in their first few weeks of life. What I love even more- is learning and becoming better at what I do. I completely agree with the adage, that we never stop learning. Today I returned from five days away, travelling to Brisbane to increase my knowledge in the area of newborn and maternity photography. This included demonstration classes with my favourite photographers, as well as meeting hundreds of other newborn photographers from all over Australia, and internationally based ones too. An incredible experience I will never ever forget. I saved up for this trip, for almost a year, and it took a few days to sink in for me to realise it was real. Being the first time I had ever travelled by myself without hubby or kids, and the first time I have ever funded my own business trip. A momentous event and stage in my business that I am extremely grateful to have achieved. As well as demonstration classes, I had the privileged of meeting many suppliers, meaning that I now have beautiful new products on offer; new photo books, canvases, prints both large and small and more. I adore touching and feeling new items so I was truly in my element! Over the next year I look forward to make some great new changes to Eklektik- lots of little modifications to improve client experience, as well as some very large changes that are in the breeze! However, that is not for sharing as yet, and must wait until another day. Until then, never stop learning! Best wishes ~Kiki
